Acer revealed on Tuesday the launch of two new gaming laptops with 14-inch screens: the Nitro 14 and Predator Helios Neo 14. Acer's entry of the Nitro series into the 14-inch gaming laptop market is noteworthy, and the introduction of the competitive Predator model is even more exciting, with pricing and specifications that rival popular models like the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Razer Blade 14. Additionally, Acer will release an updated Nitro 16 model that offers configuration options with either the latest AMD Ryzen or Intel Core processors.

The Nitro 14's price starts at $1,299.99 and can be customized to include an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, 32GB of LPDDR5X SDRAM, and 1TB of NVME SSD storage. It is offered with 120Hz G-Sync screens in either 2560 x 1600 or 1920 x 1200 resolution.

The premium 14-inch Predator Helios Neo is priced starting at $1,799.99 and features an Intel Ultra 9 185H, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, and three display options: 3072 x 1920 at 165Hz, 2560 x 1600 at 120Hz, or 1920 x 1200 at 120Hz. These models are all equipped with Nvidia Advanced Optimus technology. Additionally, the memory and storage choices match those of the Nitro 14.

The Nitro 16, starting at $1,399.99, offers customization options including an Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card and an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS with Ryzen AI, or one of three 14th Gen Intel Core i7 HX processors, with the highest being the Intel Core i7-14700HX. It features a choice of a 2560 x 1600 or 1920 x 1200 display with Nvidia Advanced Optimus for seamless GPU switching, and can also come with the same 1920 x 1200 panel without Optimus. Both AMD and Intel configurations support up to 2TB of storage and 32GB of DDR5 SDRAM.

Additionally, each laptop comes equipped with a dedicated Microsoft Copilot key on the keyboard and includes a complimentary one-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
